ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP

The Elijah Jung Memorial Scholarship was established to honor Elijah’s life, character, and the values he embodied.

This scholarship supports graduating seniors who demonstrate kindness, resilience, and community connection, reflecting the spirit in which Elijah lived.

Award Amount: Scholarship awards of up to $1,700 may be granted.

Approved Uses of Funds: Scholarship funds may be used to support a variety of post-high school pathways, including:

College tuition, fees, or textbooks
Trade school training or required tools
Starting or supporting a small business venture
Military service transition support
Housing, essential supplies, or moving expenses related to post-graduation plans

Applicants must:

Be a West Salem High School senior, Class of 2026
Be planning a post-high school pathway (college, trade school, military, workforce, or entrepreneurship)
Demonstrate qualities such as kindness, resilience, responsibility, and community connection

February 20, 2026, at 4:00 PM
